Lacey is a self taught artist who bought a wood burning tool spur of the moment in 2020. She was looking for a release from the stresses of owning a company and dealing with crises through the joy of creativity. She has always loved the simple, pure happiness she feels when sitting by the warm beauty, sounds and smells of a campfire. What better media than wood and burning designs close to her heart such as the mountains and pines? She began with cutting out wooden earrings from cedar and burning designs on them. That was so fulfilling she began craving to burn on larger pieces. This led to burning on live edge, salvaged wood slabs of walnut, cherry, maple, and cedar. Often she adds acrylic painted skies or flowers as a fun pop of color on the slabs. Harperrose Studios has had her pieces ranging from 1ft all the way up to 7ft long! Leadville and this studio has been one of her happy places for many years! It is surreal and humbling to see her pieces here with some of her favorite artists work as well as hanging on the wall of your home! If you have a unique idea for creating art, do it. You never know who you will bring joy to by doing so.
