Cheryl Johnson

Cheryl has been a “hobby” photographer since college when she took her first photography class. She particularly enjoys capturing the intricacies of nature as they are found in wildflowers, desert flowers, aspen trees, and other scenery. Cheryl likes canvas as a photography medium for the added dimensional qualities it offers. She has established My Neck of the Woods Photography to share her work as she continues to photograph her interests.

After careers in education, Cheryl and her husband Roger moved to their mountain cabin in Leadville, CO in 2008 where five generations of his family have resided since the 1890s. They also purchased a home in Green Valley. They share their time between their two homes. Cheryl continues to work as a consultant in deaf education and teaching graduate courses at CU Boulder, UNC, and the University of Arizona.
